In mid-2020, while working at Equifax Workforce Solutions, I was charged with leading an end-to-end project to develop a sales enablement tool. The summary requirements for this solution were that it would be available via a web view to the sales team, and they would be able to generate a sales quote on-demand for live small-to-medium-sized businesses. This work was previously conducted from a shared Excel spreadsheet which was developed by someone who had long departed the business.
An additional requirement was that the logic for the tool needed to be able to be exposed to the front-end of the customer-facing website so that small-business customers below a certain employee count could have the ability to independently generate their own price quote for some basic HR solutions, and purchase them – a first for Equifax Workforce Solutions from an e-commerce standpoint.
I was tasked with architecting the system, which included:
The configuration system
A contracting system
Connection to SalesForce via a Pardot form handler
Front-end confirmation messaging
Email marketing automation (confirmation)
PDF quote generation
The architectural diagram below is the result of the cross-functional work undertaken to develop this system -the first of its kind for this business.
